NUR 421 - Professional Nursing Practice- Adult II

This course provides an understanding of the nurse’s role in the management of acute and chronic care of patients, encourages expanded critical thinking in multisystem disorders, and explores nursing contribution to the best health care practice. This course will address nursing care issues from a physiologic, pathophysiologic, and psychosocial context. Nursing informatics will be integrated throughout the course with an emphasis on evidence-based practice, use of analytical skills of critical thinking and clinical reasoning to validate decision-making, and promotion of safe and effective care.
