PSY 371 - Ethics & Professional Issues in Behavior Analysis & Psychology

Ethics and professional issues in the conduct of behavior analytic and psychological research and practice.  An emphasis is placed on the ethical codes and compliance with the Behavior Analyst Certification Board and the American Psychological Association other related ethics codes, such as the American Counseling Association will also be addressed.  The course will also discuss relevant historical legal precedents that influence current ethics code.  Professional issues such as liability insurance, credentials required for clinical practice, and processes for addressing ethical dilemmas are included.  This course is designed to meet the BACB requirements for the BCaBA course sequence.
