Objectives

The psychology major is a course of study leading to the degree of Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science. The psychology major fosters the development of students’ understanding of the theory and content of psychology; utilization of research methods and critical thinking skills; application of psychology to personal, social and organizational issues; and acting ethically based on the values of the profession. The major prepares students for graduate study and/or careers that apply their academic background in psychology.
