CSC 362 - Database Systems

3-0-3

An introduction to the design, use, and application of database management systems.   Topics include the relational data model, query languages, and database design.  Implementation issues such as storage and indexing, query processing and optimization, concurrency control, and transaction management will be discussed.  Students will be expected to design and implement database system applications.
