CSC 404 - Programming Languages

3-0-3

Principles of modern programming language design and implementation.  Topics include data structures for representing programming languages, implementing control structures (such as functions, recursion, and exceptions), garbage collection, and type systems.  Students will be expected to implement several small languages using a functional programming language, and will explore features of other common programming languages and paradigms.

PR: CSC 219  or MAT 219 ; and CSC 225 .
