THE 208 - Foundations in Acting

This course provides foundational higher education academic skills and knowledge through the introduction to the art of acting, based on the practical perspective of the working professional.  Exploration of the actor’s relationship to the playscript, to the stage environment and to elements of the actor’s instrument (body, voice, imagination, etc.). Practical application of techniques and principles of acting includes in-class exercises, on-camera assignments, and rehearsed scenes and monologues.
