BIO 384 - Cave Ecology

Field-based examination of the biological processes of cave ecosystems. This course emphasizes methods to assess, document, and manage cave ecosystems. We will explore topics such as the cave environment, biological diversity, evolution, physiology, energy dynamics, biologically-mediated and abiotic speleogenesis, conservation, survey, and management. Safety and conservation are paramount in all activities.
