Developing compositional skills with original compositions in simpler forms, including contemporary materials and techniques of musical composition. Approach to arranging through knowledge of timbre and range of voices and instruments; opportunity to arrange for various media. Laboratory experiences with MIDI technology including notation and sequencing of class assignments.
