Environmental Studies at Berry College is an interdisciplinary program that addresses the environment and environmental problems with the methods and through the perspectives of the humanities, arts and social sciences. Environmental Studies explores human engagement with the biophysical world in diverse settings, including urban, agricultural, as well as less managed “natural” environments. The program emphasizes connections between such diverse disciplines as religion and philosophy, communication, history, literature, sociology and anthropology, modern languages, political science and the fine arts in order to better understand, appreciate, and interact with our environments.
