The following courses are required for a concentration in mathematics education with emphasis on teaching secondary mathematics. Students who desire to be certified to teach mathematics in grades 6-12 in public schools must also complete the secondary education major . Note: Students may not earn multiple majors within the programs of the department, nor a major (in any Mathematics concentration) and minor in Mathematics, nor the Computer Science concentration of the major and a Computer Science minor.
