The following courses are required for a concentration in mathematics education with emphasis on teaching secondary mathematics. Students who desire to be certified to teach mathematics in grades 6-12 in public schools must also complete the secondary education major . Note: Students may not earn a major and minor in the same discipline (Mathematics, Computer Science) within the department, nor multiple concentrations within the Mathematics major.
