Take one of the three OHS focused topic courses below:
Students enrolled in the One Health minor may request that an additional elective course be substituted to fulfill the current requirements for OHS 480 , OHS 496 , or OHS 498 . The substitution must result in the student's four OHS elective courses collectively being derived from at least three different disciplines. HON 451 H and Directed Study courses may also be accepted as fulfilling the OHS4XX requirement. All substitutions require approval by the OHS Committee. A copy of the course syllabus and a completed request for substitution form should be submitted to the OHS program director prior to registration.
A student cannot use both 496 and 498 to satisfy the 18+ hours required for the One Health minor. Pending approval by the One Health committee, hours from OHS 480 can be applied to the elective requirement once either OHS 496 or 498 has been completed.
Sufficient credit hours chosen from the courses listed below to complete the 18+ hour requirement. Must include courses from at least two different academic departments. The student is reminded that prerequisites or consent of instructor may be required for these courses. 100-level courses cannot be counted as both an elective and an OHS 200 prerequisite. Certain courses may be substituted for One Health minor electives if deemed to be appropriate by the One Health program committee.
