Mathematics: Mathematics Education Concentration, B.S.

The following courses are required for a concentration in mathematics education with emphasis on teaching secondary mathematics. Students who desire to be certified to teach mathematics in grades 6-12 in public schools must also complete the secondary education major . Note: Students may not earn a major and minor in the same discipline (Mathematics, Computer Science) within the department, nor multiple concentrations within the Mathematics major. Students may combine any two majors between Computer Science, Data Science, and Mathematics, but may not earn a major simultaneously in all three programs.
