Core Requirements for all Business and Economics Majors (12 - 13 hours):

• ECO 110 - Markets and Society (Foundations F4c) 3-0-3
• ECO 210 - Principles of Managerial Economics 3-0-3
• MAT 111 - Elementary Statistics (Foundations F2a) 3-0-3 or
• MAT 311 - Probability and Statistics 3-0-3
• MAT 145 - Applied Calculus (Foundations F2a) 3-0-3 or
• MAT 201 - Calculus I (Foundations F2a) 4-0-4

Additional Economics Core Requirements (12 hours):

• Economics majors may choose between ECO 110  , ECO 160 , ECO 170 , or ECO 190  (students choosing 160, 170, or 190 must also take ECO 202 ), in addition to the following:

   

• ECO 310 - History of Economic Thought 3-0-3 or
• ECO 315 I - Economic History of the United States 3-0-3

• ECO 350 I - Economic Development 3-0-3 or
• ECO 440 - International Economics and Finance 3-0-3

•  

• ECO 401 - Microeconomics 3-0-3
• ECO 402 - Macroeconomics 3-0-3
• ECO 499 - Senior Research Seminar in Economics 3-0-3

• *Economics majors take four core coureses in common with all business majors (see above-Core Requirements for all Business and Econmocis Majors).

Economics Electives (15 hours):

Fifteen hours of additional economics courses at the 300 level or higher.
Candidates for the Bachelor of Arts degree must also complete the foreign language requirement.
