The World Wide Web has revolutionized the processes of communication, presentation, social interaction, and commerce. Through the interdisciplinary Web Development minor students explore technical, artistic, and conceptual tools needed to create and maintain media for the Web. This minor provides an opportunity to integrate knowledge of Web programming concepts and skills with aspects of graphic design, use of the Web as a medium for communication and presentation, and/or its significance in a business context. CSC courses provide core knowledge of programming and the foundations of Web-related technology. Cross-disciplinary electives allow students to experience or specialize in its use as a medium and tool in various contexts.

This minor requires completion of 18 hours as described below. Students should note that several of the interdisciplinary electives have prerequisites that are not part of the minor. Students intending to pursue this minor must consult with faculty in departments where electives are offered regarding the scheduling of offerings to ensure their ability to complete this minor on time.
