Students earning the Religion and Philosophy major with a concentration in Religion complete either the Biblical & Christian Studies Track or the Religious Studies Track.

In addition to the requirments listed here, students completing the Biblical & Christian Studies track also complete the Additional Requirements for Both Tracks noted below.

Requirements in Religious Studies (9 Hours)
One lower-level course chosen from:

One elective course in religion
Eiher Religious Studies track or Biblical & Christian Studies track.

Note:
* Some versions of REL 327 I and REL 372 may count toward Biblical & Christian Studies by approval of the chair.
** Biblical & Christian Studies students are encouraged to privilege Ancient & Medieval Philosophy (incl. Augustine & Aquinas) over other offerings whenever possible.
*** REL 496 or REL 498 may replace REL 450 upon successful application to the chair and directing faculty member for approval.
